Mike was a true gentleman. It was my privilege to work with him for many years. The kindest and most humble soul I have met he was also highly experienced and competent in his work. A great man.
I wish to leave a tribute to my husband Mike Smith of 58 years. He was a kind gentle man who gave most of his live looking after the mentally ill giving them the greatest of care. He set up the phsyc emergency team in Perth and was awarded the gold medal by the Royal collage of Psychiatrists for outstanding service to mental heath in WA. After retirement he played with Denmark Baroque for 30 years which he enjoyed. He was a loving husband and father and had us laughing with lot of jokes myself and my children are very proud of him how we will miss him rest in peace my lovely husband
You are very much in our thoughts at this sad time.
Mike gave us much pleasure! His regular Saturday morning visits of music making was the high point of our week. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds : Fancy - he composed for us a special Christmas offering one year, which was a wonderful surprise!
We have always considered Mike as one of our most treasured friends and we are missing him greatly.
We are very sad that we are unable to be with you at Mike’s funeral.
Leave a tribute
