Real estate agent, beloved stepfather, keen fisherman, avid adventurer, and all-time old Englishman. Always keen for a yarn and known as the unofficial mayor of Walpole, always ready with sound advice and a good story. You will be greatly missed.
I've only known Peter for the last three or so months. We would chat at the park behind his retirement home. He told me about some of his big adventures travelling the world. I loved that he still had that same adventurous spirit and I actually thought he was ten years younger because of it.
It was evident he loved his sons and his family. He also loved his Walpole friends and community very much. He would head into town here in Denmark twice everyday to get his paper and catch up with everyone. Also to eat something that wasn't "mushy", although he assured me the food at his home was very good despite that.
I've missed Peter the last few weeks so I asked after him today at the newsagent, where they told me of his passing. Rest easy, Peter. I enjoyed our chats.
Sending my thoughts to Peter's family. I'll be praying for you that you feel the love, peace and comfort of Jesus at this time and always.
