First met Triggy on our arrival in Hedland. I was very naive, only child and unsure young woman, 6 months into her marriage before everything is ripped apart and she is thrown in Port Hedland with her new hubby accepting a role within Wigmores. Triggy said on our first night you will be here forever, told him we were only staying two years, managed an extra month, but in hindsight should have stayed longer, now as we are much much older, we are now telling our kids to follow their dreams. Thanks Tony for all your guidance and help, especially the mudflats that we got bogged in back in the day. Special thanks for welcoming the new branch manager and his wife at your place, a few months after we arrived, we became life long friends/family. Rest in peace Tiny, your job is done, Tam & Jim Vellinga
Triggy was great mentor, taught me a lot about fixing tractors, what you could and couldn’t get away with and a big influence over my formative years. He was the master of the one liner followed by that unmistakable raucous burst of laughter. May he rest in peace.
Triggy and I were both 22nd intake Australian Army Apprentices. We both served overseas with the ANZUK FORCE in the same unit. Triggy was partial to a beer or two and his laughter was so infectious that everyone around him would laugh as well. He became a lifelong friend of Meryl and myself communicating by phone and seeing him at odd reunions. I pray that Triggys spirit will come up with some accommodation with the Big Fellah upstairs and be able to lead an existence that includes his loves here on earth. Rest well old mate, you have left your mark with many and will be remembered until we eventually join you. May the Lord guide you throughout eternity and get to laugh with you. Eternal love from Bondy and Meryl.
Tony went to school at Bornholm - his brothers also. Was older than me, but I were in the same class as his brother - Andrew. Other brothers were younger. A very lovely family in very hard times!

I was young and not long a tradesman when I met Triggy at Port Hedland. We were taught well at Wigmores and I had good skills but no real experience. He took the time and taught me about being disciplined and building a reputation and became a close friend and greatest mentor.
RIP Tony knowing you made a difference to a lot of young guys both at work and after work.
Rest in peace Triggy, they broke the mold after you were born. We have many happy memories of our times together. Your amazing veggie garden, smoked fish and hamburgers from your port van in Albany, in Kalbarri on the way to the races in the Pilbara, fishing in the Timber Creek Barra Bash and in Kununurra with Tomcat and Jenny and the rest of the crew, was just the best. Till we meet again, much love, Anne and Des.
