  1. Heartbreaking to hear this wonderful man has passed over. My heart is heavy for you Zoe and his family.

  2. Sending prayers and condolences to David’s family and friends: to Zoe, and to his children and grandchildren. Thinking of you all at this sad time, and wishing we could have come over from Sydney for this celebration of his life.

  3. I have so many fond memories of being with grandpa, from sneaking some ice cream, to building snow men, and travelling to new places. One of my happiest memories of grandpa was when we were in Mexico and at a little rooftop restaurant some music started playing and he grabbed Zoe’ma’s hand and just started dancing. It was beautiful. Will forever miss you grandpa, love you, and I hope you’re now dancing with Jesus.

  4. We love you dad, and life without you will be that little bit lonelier for us, and for your granddaughters in our family - Natasha, Micaela, Everly and Adeline. We know you'll be giving Isabel and Addison our two little one's in heaven a big hug right now. Thank you for being an amazing dad to me for so long. I am so grateful for all our adventures together - from exploring Albany, to convincing me to go on roller-coasters in America, and teaching me to snowboard on the ski slopes in Canberra, I am grateful that we have shared such incredible experiences and moreover such meaningful conversations. I will miss our many deep and spiritually in-depth conversations over a late night scotch or limoncello (and maybe a sneaky ice-cream if Zoema wasn't watching). Most of all I will miss your sense of humour (you are always ready with a dad joke).
May God bless and keep you. My thoughts and prayers continue for Zoe your devoted love and all the Richards family, especially Daniel and Bethany, Rebecca and Mike, and Tobias and Louise; and all our nieces and nephews. Till we meet again Dad 🙏🏻❤️

  5. Sincere condolences to Zoe and the Richards family. Thinking of you Lorrae and Ryan, Beccy and Mike, Tobey and Louise, Dan and Beth and all of the grandchildren. Sorry I can’t be there for David’s celebration of life service. Sending hugs and praying you find comfort in the love of Jesus and each other.

  6. Sending Zoe and all of David’s family our deepest sympathies at this sad time xx David was such a kind and generous man, who loved his family and our Lord x may he now be resting in the arms of Jesus x much love to you all

  7. Thinking of you all, especially you Elle, you will all be in my prayers. Big hugs 💞 To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord ✨️🌈🙌

  8. Thank you grandpa for all of your kindness, support, and your compassion for others. I will hold all the memories we have shared in my heart forever, until we meet again grandpa i love you

  9. Thinking of you all today and sending our love and prayers. We have so many wonderful memories of our holidays and Creation Ministries Safaris together. Our deepest sympathy and much love to Zoe, Lorrae, Daniel and Toby and families. We will meet again in heaven David what a wonder and joy those reunions will be.

  10. Many fond memories of summer holidays spend in Denmark at the Ocean Beach Caravan Park and epic, early morning fishing adventures - Dad and Uncle David leading a convoy of 7 small children up miles of beach sand to the Aquarium and Anvil Beach, Uncle David snorkelling with his gidgee while we fished off the reef with (probably too rough) Southern Ocean crashing all around us. Then, the miserable endless trek back to our two-caravan-with-hessian-barriers home-base to terrorise the caravan park's shop and video arcade for the afternoon.

Uncle David was a huge presence in our lives at the time and it's difficult to think of my childhood without him appearing in the memories. My condolences to my cousins, their beautiful children, Zoe and all of the extended Richards family. Thank you for the happy memories Uncle David.

  11. Remembering the good years we shared with David, his parents, Kingsley & Margaret, his brother Ian and sister Coralie in our younger days at Bellevue Baptist Church.
We pray that Zoe and the family are comforted in the sure and certain knowledge of the salvation that David is now experiencing and the assurance that our God will never leave us or forsake us.
    Blessings
    Marie & Ken Hutchings

  12. Our love and prayers for you Zoe and family from your friends at the Hughes Baptist Church in Canberra. We shared our love for God and music for many years while you were with us.
