In respect with Geoff's wishes a private ceremony has taken place.
A memorial to Celebrate Geoff's life will take place on a date to be confirmed at the home farm in Mettler
Geoffrey you will be sorely missed by many people. You lived a great life, achieving much and doing what made you happy. You created such a wonderful legacy: a loving family capable of great strength, hard work, humour and positivity just to name a few important things. A true testament to you. We will miss you dearly...

Thank you Dad, for always being there for us in the good times and bad. You were always there to listen and support us when things got tough. I couldn't have asked for a better Dad. So glad you got to share some very special moments in our life recently.
Your path through life has been nothing but remarkable, and what a legacy you have left us. Things weren't always plain sailing, but you and Mum together, gave me a childhood that was so wonderful and full of adventures (and a bit of work as well), from the dairy farm at Redmond to the farm, Windi Windi, out east. Oh what memories.
You have left such a wonderful Family history of your life and those before you in your books, for the future generations of your family.
We are going to miss you so much, but you will be forever in our lives, never to be forgotten.
We will look after each other, especially Mum, so rest easy.

Geoff was one of a kind — a man of strong character and purpose who lived 92 remarkable years filled with adventure and meaning.
Though he was my step-grandfather, he built a family that was truly inclusive. Because of him, we grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and a whole bunch of “adopted” cousins to play with on the family farms — memories that still bring a smile more than 30 years later.
In later years, we always looked forward to Geoff’s cheeky banter around the Christmas table. Don’t worry — my husband Jay promises to polish his boots this year!

Geoff was a lion of a man. Well spoken, informed and a wise in his counsel.Deepest symphany to his family from all of us in Queensland.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Margaret, Robert, Michelle, Anna, and Richard and your extensive family. We are very sorry for the loss of your; fabulous husband, father, uncle, grandad and the many other roles he played. Geoff was a 'real doer' and he passed that energy on to all of you. We know you will miss him immensely.
We very much appreciated all the friendship extended from Geoff and Margaret to our family in the early days. Geoff always had the time to have a good chat to anyone and everyone. He was an 'ideas' man and always made life interesting and exciting. He took on many leadership roles within Wellstead District and will be remembered for facilitating iconic events like the Cape Riche Pentathalon. We send all our love to you all and hope that you send Geoff off with a ceremony which reflects the 'larger than life', creative, kind man that he was.

We knew Geoff and family as neighbours while they were farming at Redmond and have great admiration for his many achievements, his contribution to the community and his wicked sense of humour.

Sincere Sympathy to Margaret and family. I would have loved to have met Geoff many years earlier than I did. His name I have known for years having been spoken of by my father Arnold Bode and his mother Milly (née Dickson , Gwen’s cousin). The times that I did speak with him I could have easily talked for ages about family history. He will be fondly remembered. Carole Forrest
