A life cut too short! Our hearts are heavy. Trish, Paul, Jayde and Tyson you are in our thoughts every day. No words can give you comfort but we can surround you with loving thoughts.
Harley Burridge wasn’t loud, but he didn’t need to be. There was a quietness about him that said more than words ever could.
He was always willing to help. No fuss, no need for recognition—he just showed up and did what needed to be done. A true team player in every sense.
And then there was that rye smirk. The kind you don’t forget, the kind that sticks with you long after the moment passes. It said a lot about who he was—grounded, a little knowing, and completely genuine.
Harley wanted more for himself. He was working toward a better life, and you could see it in the way he carried himself and treated others. He wasn’t standing still—he was always trying to grow, to be better.
That’s what really stayed with people. He didn’t just talk about being better—he lived it. And because of that, he touched everyone around him in a real way.
People respected Harley. They wanted the best for him, just like he wanted the best for himself.
He made an impact that won’t be forgotten.
Harley, I will miss you mate you are part of a greater family.
I am Harley’s paternal grandmother. Harley called me Nan; I loved that, and I loved the way he said it. There was always a warmth in the way he said it.
The last time I saw Harley was at Christmas time. He and my two granddaughter, spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my daughter’s house.
It was such a joyful occasion with much laughter, playful banter, humour and the sharing of great food.
We exchanged presents in the traditional way but then went on to play Stealing Santa.
My daughter had sourced and wrapped several secret presents. All the gifts were pooled. We were all allocated a number and then took turns to choose one of the gifts to unwrap or choose to “steal” a gift already opened by someone else. It was so much fun, and I will always cherish this time we spent together – the smiles, the laughter, the merriment.
I will always long for his company; I shall carry the memory of him with me always. My grandson Harley.
Im so so sorry you as a family have had to endure this pain. It's not a pain i ever would have wished on a single soul I've ever known. Please know we are thinking of you, feel for you, cry for you and hold your tender fragile hearts in our hearts every day.

He was a polite respectful young man.

Life truly is not fair. Harley, I am so sorry you had to endure what you did in life, I will always remember you as the funny and silly guy at school. May you rest peacefully looking over all those that loved and cherished you. My condolences to all of your family and close friends. Sending all of my love and strength to those that need it at this very sad and challenging time. x
I regret I couldn’t be there to say farewell to Harley. To wrap my arms around my brother and Trish. I’ve never been to a funeral of a young person or adult. The extent of how Harley has touched lives is more than I could have imagined but not surprising.
Thank you to everyone who spoke. Thank you to everyone who paid their respects. It was the best send off possible.
His life mattered to all of us. We can only hope he indeed rests in please, free of the everything that brought him to this place.
No words can I give to ease the pain Trish and Paul. Just know that we are all holding you in our hearts. RIP Harley, know that you were loved so very dearly 💔
