I Had so much fun a life time ago with Craig.
We were motts together at Wagga Ag College. Craig was always the voice of reason when things were getting out of hand. I will remember his kindness and patience he had with my 19 year old alcohol and testosterone fuelled self. He was a good person and always will be a member of the Murrumbidgee gentlemen’s club.
I will remember him with a smile.
Cheers and goodbye. Rob Napier.
I lived with Craig in Wagga during our Ag college days. We had great times in Gurwood Street. The running joke back then was I could never get a photo of him (no iphone back then). I still have photos of the back of his head, and one where he turns the camera on me blocking his face. I guess he won the duelling photo wars.
For me, Craig's cheecky sense of humour made life back then pretty great. He never took himself too seroius and with his quick witted manner it meant we also learnt not take ourselves too serious. It was simple in the house, if it was funny it was fair game. He wrote the playbook of mock or be mocked. He reminded me of the rules of engagement of my own family, so I have fond memories of that time of my life living with Craig.
It was sad to hear about Craig's passing. In a world that seems to be getting far too serious, I think people like Craig were meant to teach us the importance of mateship, laughter and dare I say - the great Aussie skill of taking the piss - the school of toughen-up butter cup. To this end, Craig graduated with Honours with a major in good times.
Again to the Medway family I am very sorry for your loss. Normally I would say Rest In Peace, but in Craig's case I hope he is still laughing - like I remember him.
As we sit with profound tenderness in our hearts, we can’t help but reminisce about the cherished moments we've shared with each of you. The miles that separate us may be vast, yet our spirits remain intertwined, and you are ever-present in our thoughts today as you face the painful farewell of Craig.
We know that no words can truly mend the aching sorrow that envelops you right now. Please hold on to the truth that you are deeply cared for, and your sadness does not go unnoticed.
In this time of heartache, we wholeheartedly wish for you to find solace in the embrace of those around you—may they wrap you in love and support as you navigate through the shadows of grief. We send all our love, strength and big hugs to you, holding you close in our hearts.
I have great memories from our early days at Ag College in Wagga many years ago hanging out with Craig. He never took himself to serious and would always bring me down a peg or two. We had lots of laughs and a few beers together in those days and I remember him introducing me to “Nacho’s” back in the day often a quick snack for lunch. Although we lost contact over the years you will always be a mate who has left us way too soon. May you rest in peace.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Craig's passing, I too knew Craig from Ag College. Craig was a true friend during that time, he was the life of the party with his dry wit and humour. He was the voice of reason for many of us including myself. I remember the parties at east hall and the dinners he cooked me at Gurwood street, he referred to me as mother smog and even gave me a mothers day present! After Ag college we kept in touch during his time at orange and then of course via facebook. Sending so much love to all the Medway family especially his children Hamish and Amy and his mum Frances. Rest in Peace Homa (Craig) you will be dearly missed by all your family and friends, much love Smog
What can I say that you all don't already know about Mr Craig Medway,
We took over the Lake King Roadhouse almost 12 months ago, through the door walked this weathered gentlemen with a love for his amazing kids AKA Hamish & Aims,
one story that comes to mind, I was a 3am leak, stepped out of me motorhome starkers strolled to my position and finished my business, look up and seen a shooting star, and much to Mandy's delight I quietly said "Safe Travels Aliens"
well that was that, as soon as Craig walked through the door Mandy had to share this story and from that day on the aliens and our love for our children were front on topic.
You are and will always be missed Mr Medway "Safe Travels Brother"
To Aims & Hamish Know Dad was so very proud of you both,
Think fondly of your father he's was one of the worlds good buggers.
even if he didn't like to hire Kiwi's, Aussies a got to love some of ya!
Stay Strong Medway family. sadly a gentlemen has left the building,
Sincere condolences to Hamish, Amy and Craig's family and friends.
I have only known Craig for just over 2 years, through work, but that was definitely enough time to learn what a legend he was. Over that time, I had a number of calls from Craig, helping him with work queries. He called me on Christmas Eve and I got off the phone and said what a great bloke he was. I was shattered when I learned of his passing.
Life can be so unfair at times.
I haven't stopped thinking of the family and friends since the horrible accident.
Jason and I are Sending our thoughts, prayers and love to Suzie, Hamish, Amy and the extended Medway/ Maher family.
What a lovely tribute to Craig today! Taken to soon Rest in peace 🌟

Thank you for being the friend who often called to see how we were when you knew times were tough. Those calls meant the world to me.
